Terms of use

These terms cover use of https://legalitm.com, operated under the name LegalITM. Creating an account means you agree to them. Text-message programs are separate and optional.

The service

LegalITM provides a platform where a business can submit a matter and a verified attorney can review it. Attorneys who accept work are independent. The platform is not your law firm, and staff support is not legal advice.

Accounts

You are responsible for the activity under your login. You must provide a working email address. A mobile number is optional. Consent to text messages is not required to create an account, to hire counsel, or to use LegalITM. Email remains available.

Text message programs

Each program has its own unchecked checkbox in Preferences. The full disclosure is also on the text messaging page. Entering a mobile number without checking a box is not consent. Bandwidth Inc. delivers the texts as a service provider. Opt-in data is not sold.

Account notices

Texts when a response is requested on a matter you are part of, when you are an attorney and a new matter is available to claim, or when a date tracked on your account is approaching and may need action.

Message frequency varies with your matters, claim opportunities, and tracked dates. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent is not required to use LegalITM. Who may join: a business user or an attorney, opting in for their own mobile number.

Sign-in codes

A one-time code when you ask for one to sign in or confirm your account. These texts do not include matter links.

Texts about a support request you opened with LegalITM. Not a reply from the published staff phone line.

Stopping texts

  • Clear one checkbox in Preferences to leave that program only.
  • Reply STOP to end every LegalITM text. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT all opt you out.
  • Reply HELP or INFO for help. You can also call (801) 361-5265 or use the in-app message center.
  • Reply START only to undo a STOP, and only for programs you had already accepted. START does not enroll you in a new program.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
